I am very happy to share that the integration of US fundamental data is complete and StocksCafe now fully supports US stocks.

You should now be able to see profile pages (e.g. Facebook) for US stocks, be able to screen for US stocks in screener and see related fundamentals in your portfolio profile or watchlist profile.

This brings the number of supported exchanges to four; namely SG, KL, HK, and US!

Apologies for taking quite a while (US EOD was added last December) to finish the integration of US fundamental data. It is mostly because US data is taken from a different provider than SG, KL and HK, and the way they store data and even what was stored is completely different, which means I had to essentially implement everything from scratch.

Furthermore, the number of active stocks in US is 10x that of SG. This means that tasks that took just three hours to run for SG now takes 30 hours for US. I actually spent the last week optimizing my code so that tasks will not take forever to complete. Now, all tasks take less than a couple of hours to finish! Yay!

With US exchange completed, one of my next two big goals is to integrate Tokyo exchange simply because I am staying in Tokyo, and also because that data is bundled in the package I bought from my data provider. The other goal would be to enable users to include any assets (including bonds, properties, stocks from not yet supported exchanges etc) into StocksCafe as this is one of the top requested features.

Please try out the US fundamental data and let me know if I am missing anything!

Happy investing!

hozy91 - Thanks Evan! Any potential for UK stocks in the future?

evankoh - @hozy91, UK stocks would have to wait a bit but will certainly be done sometime and hopefully by end of this year :)

One issue is I am not exactly sure where to get (cheap) fundamental data.

Why and How I Use Dividend Strength
As many of you would know, I initially built SGXcafe for my personal investment needs. Hence many tools here exist because I use them personally for my own investing. iAssist and iSuggest were tools that I built in an attempt to help me diversify my portfolio as it was rather challenging to decide which stock to add to my portfolio among the several hundred stocks listed in SGX. However, there is a ...

There is a way to do it painlessly, and it even allows you to share it on your own site with just a single line of html code! The best part? It's all available for free! There are many awesome financial bloggers in Singapore who share their portfolios on their blog. To me, it is to demonstrate that having a good passive ...

APAC Stock Information Now On SGXcafe
When I was licensing data, the data provider insisted on selling me the information for APAC region as a package instead of just Singapore alone. Was it so that they could charge me a higher price? In any case, seeing as I have the information, I have been wanting to organize and share those data. Today, I am happy to share that you can now find information of stocks listed in APAC exchanges such as ...
