When I read that in Tang Palace Interim report that they will be opening one in Singapore this year, I am intrigued. You can read about my last post & analysis about Tang Palace here. The place is located in FORUM The Shopping Mall, Orchard Rd, #01-22. The mall is like a ghost town at 8.30pm, unlike the main streets of Orchard road. Not a wise place with a low footfall to set up shop?
However once stepped inside, I was surprise it was almost full house. The dinner is more suited for sharing of dishes in groups or families. I had a hard time ordering as the portion in their menu as advised by the staff is meant for sharing.
Do be honest, I did not have big expectations although the reviews on google map is good. I ordered a Yang Chun Mian and Charcoal Custard Bun 黑金流沙 (apparently using real gold dust). The food are delicious above my expectation or I am just too hungry at 8.30pm. Now I am curious how their other dishes taste like. Will probably bring my parents along next to try the other dishes. (Note: The tea is not complimentary)
